What I Ate Wednesday #9

Good morning! Its another WIAW post and I'm going to continue posting like I have the last few weeks. Instead of posting everything I had in one day, I'm posting all the things I ate this week that caught my eye! This girl likes variety!

----What WIAW isn't about----
Comparison - Judgement - Restriction - Guilt

----What WIAW is about----
Celebrating one of the glorious things we all have in common: We all eat!

"WIAW is about food and fun! It's about making new friends, breaking out of a food rut, noting changes in your diet/lifestyle, inspiring yourself & others, embracing fruit & vegetables, nourishing your body with the foods that work for you, finding new ways to eat your favorite foods, and so much more"
<3-peas & crayons

wednesday night dinner - picked by the fiance and my father - steak, oven roasted potatoes with onions, and baked beans

thursday night - my favorite - homemade pizza with onions, feta, black olives, broccoli, jalapenos and mushrooms

friday afternoon snack - while the fiance cleaned the kitchen {he is simply amazing} - tazo passion fruit tea, blueberries and Love Grown Foods Simply Oats

i have always given my friends flack for being addicted to coffee since i've never really liked it. well saturday logann & i stopped by starbucks and she ordered me a iced skinny carmel macchiato. it was love. i am addicted.

spent most of saturday afternoon making these {and stuffing my face with them}

recipe here

my favorite summer salsa - recipe here

good ol' fashioned fresh salsa - recipe here

while i worked on my recipe posts saturday i enjoyed a small pina colada

my father's birthday dinner - bbq'd chicken, asparagus, cole slaw, mashed sweet potatoes, and black baked beans

sunday morning skinny macchiato while i enjoyed some time with friends at cars && coffee

monday morning i made the boys some of No Sugar Sweet Life's Greek Yogurt Blueberry Banana Bread. they were very happy boys.

tuesday lunch - my addiction - sushhhhhi <3

another skinny macchiato, see its terrible! she created a monster.

now for the fitness aspect! {the fun part}

wednesday night: jillian michaels ripped in thirty

friday i hit the gym for forty minutes of cardio on the elliptical

saturday - 30 minutes of interval training on the treadmill, 10 minutes of rowing, 10 minutes cool down on the tread mill, 75 second plank, and some stretching. took my sisters with me - fun & fitness - one stop shop!

sunday night - i did my commercial break workout while i watched extreme makeover weight loss edition and then ended the night with 60 minutes of bob harper's yoga.

monday night - day of rest. though they are nice, i get bored around workout time, antsy almost.

tuesday night - 30 mins of bob harpers bob workout. dead jaren was dead. that workout is hard, like making-caveman-noises-just-to get-through-it hard.

i hope everyone has a fun && safe fourth of july!

Question:
What is your favorite summer treat?
Do you do workouts during commericals?
Are you a coffee addict?

Homemade pineapple salsa is my favorite. A local restaurant serves it here but theirs is very sweet. My version is a sweet&salty. Love it!
Holy wow that Greek yogurt blueberry banana bread sounds delicious! I've got to try that!

It was awesome! Kelly has tons of great recipes on her site!
All of that food looks DE-LICIOUSSS!! I was thinking how that banana blueberry bread sounds amazing, and totally remembered I have some in the freezer, and some bananas that need to be used.. thanks for the recipe idea!! Have a wonderful 4th of July

**Also, I just started my own blog.. check it out :)

Thank you! It all tasted delicious! Make some! So good!

I'll definitely check out your blog! :)
That pineapple salsa is my favorite! It's so refreshing.
And I've actually thought about trying Bob Harper's workout DVD's. He teaches spin at my gym and his class literally leaves me DEAD. But, it's amazing! It would be nice to have someone push me like that, even on days when I can't make it over to the gym!
Love your blog, by the way. (:

Pineapple salsa is so good! That's why I started making it at home! His DVDs are great but hard! You work out at Bobs Gym?!! So JEALOUS!
Thank you!! :)
My favorite summer treat is pretty much anything I can make with seasonal fruit. So refreshing and always tasty!

I was a coffee lover (and still am) but I'm trying tea for a few weeks. Not so sure about giving up the java. We'll see.

I've heard great things about BH workouts.

that yogurt dip sounds delicious!
I need to try Bob's workouts...I've done Jillians' and she's one tough lady, but I think I like him a little better ;-)
Your blueberry bread looks so good!

Sushi is probably another one of those things women are genetically deemed to love! So good! That bread is amazing! I had to cook it a little longer but it was awesome!
pizza with mushrooms is the best. I top mine with as many veg as possible.
I saw that commercial workout on pinterest but I don't watch television, so I couldn't do it haha.
I'm not a coffee fan. I'm trying, but it gives me headaches and such. I'm much more a fan of tea!

Any pizza without mushrooms is an automatic fail. I love mine stacked with veggies, except tomatoes. I don't watch tv during the school months but I do watch one or two during the summer but I have to do it while getting a little burn. That's weird about coffee giving you a headache. I need caffeine to survive. Tea is an addiction of mine too. I drink a pitcher a day of tazo passion tea.
Everything looks amazing! Especially the pineapple salsa and blueberry yogurt bread :) Your kitties are adorable, I think my puppy would love to play with them! Have a happy fourth, and to answer one of your questions, yes I am a major coffee addict!

Thanks Hannah!! It all tasted awesome! I could probably live on pineapple salsa! My dog stares at the kitties through the window dying to play with them too hahah. But they are little furry prince and princesses!
Your pizza looks delicious! Home made is always the best...I need to start making it more often!

The avocado yogurt dip is AH-Mazing!
Thanks for the link to the bread recipe. I'm gonna have to do some tweaking, but it looks so good that it will definitely be worth the effort!
